Jared Black
Outfitter & Founder
Part of a multi-generational legacy in the rafting and outdoor industry. Has a passion and respect for the river and the outdoors that started at an early age. As an outfitter and guide, some of his favorite things are working with a team and making memories with others.
Brandon Long
Adventure Coordinator & Guide
Grew up in Idaho and spent a lot of time around and on the Payette River. Enjoys all things water sports and feels passionate about sharing his love of the outdoors with others. Loves to spend time with his wife and two daughters.
Julia Black
Guide
Also part of a multi-generational legacy. Enjoys making connections with others on the river. Loves all the adventures that come from whitewater rafting and has a high stoke for life.
Thomas Stroops
Guide
Has a family legacy of his own on this river. His mom worked for R&R Outdoors some 30 years ago — continuing the multi-generational connection to the Salmon River.
Micah Robertson
Guide
Electrical Engineering student at MSU with a passion for adventure. When not studying, he can be found rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking, or running track. Thrives on the rush of navigating the river and sharing that passion with others.

Before Outdoor Voyagers, there was R&R Outdoors — owned and operated by Rob and Rex Black for over 20 years before retiring from the rafting industry. Outdoor Voyagers is proud to carry on this legacy. Meet the founders of R&R Outdoors below.
Rob Black

Rex Black
