About This Trip

This three-day adventure features 34.5 miles of the Salmon River canyon for a truly immersive wilderness experience. With three full days on the water, this trip features a variety of class III and IV whitewater rapids including Vinegar Creek, Carey Falls, Tombstone, Ruby, Preacher Rock, Traps, Fiddle Creek, and more!

Along with the exciting whitewater you can also enjoy time swimming in the river, beautiful canyon scenery, and riverside lunches along one of the Salmon River's sandy beaches. At the end of day 1 and 2 we will stop for camp where you can enjoy time relaxing next to the water, short hikes along the riverbank, playing river games, and dinner provided by your river guides.

At the end of each day you can retire under the stars in one of Idaho's darkest sky corridors or inside a provided tent. The next day you'll wake up smelling breakfast before breaking down camp. All meals, camping gear, tents, and sleeping pads are provided. Just bring personal clothing, sleeping bag and pillow, and other personal items from our packing checklist.

Prior to your trip plan to meet at the Lucille boat ramp parking lot at 10 am MST or 9am PST (please note the possible time difference). Here you will load your belongings into a provided drybag before being shuttled up river to the end of the road at Vinegar Creek boat ramp. There you will meet your river guides and after a safety briefing, you'll push off.
